Frame & Lens Re-Order Abbreviations
When re-ordering any lenses or frames due to breakage cover etc. the following abbreviations must be used as postfixes with the PX name as order reference:
(For example: Susan Dippenaar – BC / Tshego Mhawu – ELRK)
PRK : When the practice makes a mistake with the order (eg. ordering ARC instead of HC or a plus instead of a minus) – a mistake made in the practice – this includes Optom Refraction errors.
CRK : When we have to do a remake because the patient is not adapting to their multifocal or due to the “Happy Customer Policy” – eg. the chosen frame is hurting the px and we have to change it.
ELRK : Essilor Lab Remake – eg. Essilor sending a lens that is scratched or is the incorrect script.
PLRK : Paarl Lab Remake – eg. Paarl Lab scratched/chipped the lens etc.
BC : Breakage Cover – frame broke within the 12-month breakage cover period or lenses are scratched etc.
